Versatile New DC/DC Buck HBLED Driver from ISSI: IS31LT3360

The IS31LT3360 is a simple and a flexible LED driver being used in a wide range of applications that include alarms, pool lighting and flashlights.

This is a versatile new LED driver from ISSI which requires a very low BOM count making it simple to integrate into a variety of applications.

A continuous mode inductive driver available in a space saving SOT89-5 package, the IS31LT3360 integrates the output FET switch and the current sense circuit; requiring only a sense resistor and an external inductor to set the LED output current (up to 1200mA).

The IS31LT3360 is a DC/DC buck converter operating at a 1Mhz switching frequency to efficiently (up to 98%) drive one or more series connected LEDs from a voltage source higher than the LED voltage.

Please contact Allyanz today for more details or evaluation samples of the IS31LT3360.

ISSI 72MB QUAD-QUADP SRAM

ISSI’s
72Mb QUAD/QUADP and DDR-II/DDR-IIP are now sampling. This family of high performance SRAM is available in several different options – x18 and x36 density configurations, Burst 2 and Burst 4. QUAD and DDR-II support frequencies up to 400MHz, while QUADP and DDR-IIP support frequencies up to 500MHz. In order to provide more termination options for ease-of-board designs, QUADP and DDR-IIP support the On-Die-Termination (ODT) feature. For high speed applications, a Data Valid Indicator (QVLD) is available for data output capture. The 72Mb QUAD/QUADP and DDR-II/DDR-IIP product offerings support Industrial and Commercial temperature grades. ISSI is committed to long-term product support, including leaded packages. This key differentiator is crucial for applications that require long life cycles of 10 years and beyond.

ISSI supporting 2Gb DDR2 SDRAM

Targeted for Automotive, Communications, Medical, and Industrial Applications

Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc. (Nasdaq:ISSI), a leader in advanced memory solutions, is now supporting volume production units of its new 2 Gigabit (2Gb) DDR2 device, the newest addition to ISSI’s family of DDR2 SDRAMs.

The first device is the IS43DR16128, which is organized as 128Mx16 and packaged in an 84-ball BGA. This on-going expansion of the DDR2 SDRAM product family adds to ISSI’s extensive offering of DRAM.

By using advanced technology, ISSI is able to provide the long-term product support required by long lifecycle applications in automotive, communications, medical, and industrial designs.

The new device is available with clock speeds up to 333MHz (DDR2-667).

In addition to this 2Gb DDR2 DRAM, ISSI also offers 1Gb, 512Mb and 256Mb DDR2 devices in commercial, industrial, and automotive temperature grades.

The 256Mb density includes x32, x16, and x8 organizations, while the 512Mb and 1Gb densities include x16 and x8 organizations. The DDR2 DRAM product family operates from a single supply voltage of 1.8V.

“Our automotive customers are excited by our expanding portfolio of high-density DRAMs and our long-term commitment. Customers have begun to qualify the new 2Gb DDR2 device in vehicle infotainment systems, where the integration of new features is driving memory demand,” said Lyn Zastrow, vice president of the Automotive Business Unit at ISSI.

“The mobile data explosion is driving memory density requirements in mobile infrastructure products, such as base stations. Additionally these applications have long-life requirements, so long-term support of 2Gb DDR2 products is key for our customers in that space,” said Pat Lasserre, director of the Communications Business Unit at ISSI. Key applications in communications include access and aggregation nodes, routers and switches, network storage, optical transport, and base stations. Other applications include medical instrumentation, energy meters, and security systems.

In addition to SDR, mobile SDR/DDR, DDR, and DDR2 SDRAMs, ISSI also offers a complete line of both asynchronous and synchronous SRAM with densities from 64Kb to 72Mb. ISSI also has a range of SPI (NOR) Flash, and Known Good Die (KGD) memories in its portfolio.

ISSI Enters Flash Market through Chingis Acquisition

Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc. (Nasdaq:ISSI) is now sampling proven NOR Flash memory products as a result of the Company acquiring Chingis Technology Corporation (“Chingis”).

Founded in 1995, Chingis provides a variety of NOR flash memory technologies used in standalone and embedded applications with more than 80 worldwide patents and patents pending.

ISSI Enters Flash Market through Chingis Acquisition

The acquisition of Chingis strengthens ISSI’s specialty memory product portfolio by adding Flash memory to expand the Company’s future growth opportunities. The addition of Flash memory is expected to meet demand for these solutions from many of ISSI’s existing customers.

ISSI intends to leverage its existing infrastructure to increase scale and lower Chingis’ costs, utilize its foundry relationships to grow Chingis’ embedded business and expand the Chingis flash product line based on customers’ needs.

For more details, samples or pricing on this range of SPI NOR Flash from ISSI, ranging in densities from 256Kbit to 128Mbit, please contact Allyanz.

ISSI Announces Sampling of RLDRAM(R) 3 Memory

Helps Enable 100G Ethernet and Transport Applications

Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc. (Nasdaq:ISSI), a leader in advanced memory solutions, is sampling RLDRAM 3 memory. RLDRAM 3 memory offers a 576Mb density with the DRAM industry’s fastest random access times (tRC). The device is ideally suited to 100G networking applications such as Packet Optical Transport, Carrier Ethernet Switches and Routers (CESR), and Core and Edge Routers.

Service providers are combining residential, business, and mobile services onto a single IP network. This is driving the need for a cost-effective, high-performance memory with fast random access rates (tRC). RLDRAM 3 memory offers a new Multibank WRITE feature that allows random READ accesses every 2ns – on par with high-speed SRAM but with the density and cost-effectiveness that comes with DRAM.

ISSI offer RLDRAM 3 memory in Industrial and Commercial temperature ranges and in Leaded and Lead-free packages.

For more details on ISSI’s range of RLDRAM(R) 3 Memory, please contact Allyanz.
